Our ‘Hair Loss Friendly Spa’ campaign welcomes new partnership with Made for Life Foundation

I’m delighted to announce that The Made For Life Foundation and its Cancer Touch Therapy training course have now joined forces with the unique Cancer Hair Care – Hair Loss Friendly Spa Campaign to deliver enhanced hair loss training to spas.

The announcement will be celebrated at Spa Fest 7 -9th October with the presentation of a £1000 cheque donation to Cancer Hair Care. Presented by Amanda Winwood, MD of Made For Life Organics and the founder of the Made For Life Foundation.

Speaking about the new partnership, Amanda Winwood said: “As part of our work running our Cancer Touch Therapy courses, we’ve come across many women who are more upset about losing their hair than having a mastectomy. A big part of our training focuses on empathy and ensuring people feel supported and safe in a spa environment so there was a lovely synergy between Cancer Touch Therapy and the Cancer Hair Care – Hair Loss Friendly Spa initiative.”

The support and experience of Amanda and her Cancer Touch Therapy team is invaluable towards deepening the impact on the UK spa industry to extend its support to people with cancer. My charity’s new hair loss training and development initiative can reach more people when we work together with professional spa trainers who wholeheartedly embrace an educational approach to supportive cancer care.
