Our unique knitted topsy turvy dolly helps children to understand hair loss through play. The dolly has hair on one side and no hair on the other. Each dolly comes complete with little hats and scarves for children to play with. Dollies are available in multiple skin colours and hair textures. Each dolly is health and safety checked. FREE Hair Loss Support Packs especially for teenagers or children  containing headwear, accessories, scalp care items and lots more can be sent to hospital or home. Additionally we offer our phone and E-mail service where you can speak to one of our Cancer Hair Care Specialists.

My dedicated team of Cancer Hair Care Advisors and Specialists are expertly trained to listen and support children and teenagers and offer guidance to parents, carers, cancer nurses and support professionals.

Our services are delivered in an age and stage appropriate way that helps children to understand hair loss and take control with bespoke hats, scarves and other items.

Our Hair Loss Advisors all have in-hospital clinical and hands on experience of supporting children during every aspect of their hair loss experience.

As well as offering enhanced services at hospitals such as UCLH, GOSH, Teenage Cancer Trust Units and workshops throughout the UK, we can currently offer FREE parcels of specialist support items such as hats, scarves, fringes, lashes and other unique items. Enhanced Hygiene Protocol

At Cancer Hair Care we regularly work within NHS chemotherapy clinics and therefore are used to following hygiene procedures. Due to the Coronavirus situation we have taken enhanced measures with our packs.

At Cancer Hair Care we are delighted to have developed a range of services to support teenagers and young people with hair loss due to cancer treatments. We deliver several services including bedside visits to our teenage and young patients in hospitals such as UCLH.

Our Cancer Hair Care Specialists and Advisors have developed a unique approach that deals with the psychological and physical needs of our young patients as they face hair loss. We support young people to find individual and holistic approaches to dealing with their image change.

We are also delighted to connect young people with helpful services such as The charity Little Princess Trust  who provides male and female children and young people up to age 24, a free human hair wig. Their service is very bespoke and ideal for young people.

Specialist service at GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) and UCLH hospital (London)

GOSH and UCLH hospital London – FREE One to one in hospital tutorials so that children have access to the specialist items they need but the practical know how in order to create their looks independently. We are currently offering remote zoom or phone sessions and packs into hospital or home.

UCLH hospital – Teenagers and young people Free specialist items designed for young people such as hats, scarves fake fringes, eyelashes, shampoo’s for new hair growth and more. We can customise scarves for individual wishes such as school uniforms and provide unique hair loss items.We are currently offering remote zoom or phone sessions and packs into hospital or home. Services for parents & cancer professionals

FREE Guidance and support for parents – how do I tell my 5 year old girl that she will lose her first curls? How can I advise my teenager about going back to school without hair? We offer FREE support and guidance. We provide free booklets and play packs for children.

Training for nurses and health care professionals – we offer guidance and training in all aspects of hair loss to professional working closely with young patients. Contact us to discus your requirements.

With the funding we currently have in place we estimate that only a quarter of the young people who need our support will receive it.
