Our specialist hair loss support is FREE of charge and covers subjects such as scalp cooling, making a plan for hair loss, scarf ‘try and tie’ session, wig care and tips, scalp care, new hair growth, temporary colours and includes a *free support pack.

Cancer Hair Care are delighted to be working on a unique project with Guys Cancer Centre.

Together, we are looking to find out the best ways to deliver hair loss and hair care related cancer support in a way that is helpful to individuals treated at Guys Cancer Centre. Making the journey easier and empowering people to build confidence, gain skills and access support during hair loss and hair care changes.

Our Head Start Sessions offer you a range of FREE expert hair loss support services. Find out all about our Head start sessions including Tie & try, Tea & chat, Scalp cooling, Make-up and much more.

Booking is not essential but is best recommended to avoid disappointment. You can also drop in. Please Contact us to book.

May we kindly suggest that you allow adequate time to park as the hospital car parks to get very busy.

Our service is on the ground floor and can be accessed by wheelchair users. If we can help you with any support that may make your visit more comfortable please let us know.

Cancer Hair Care is a registered charity that specialists in offering people guidance and support services before, during and after hair loss and hair thinning due to cancer treatments. We run clinics in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas and train cancer staff across the UK in how to best support patients on all aspects of hair loss, scalp care and emotional support. As well as face to face services we offer a free Help Line, guidance booklets and an information website.

The service is carried out by Hair Loss Advisors trained by Caring Hair, Cancer Hair Care (Registered charity number: 1145258). With thanks to The Princess Alexandra Hospital for their generous donation working together with Cancer Hair Care to co fund this service with Cancer Hair Care.
